FROST EXTENDS MLMC CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD AT ROAD TO LE MANS
Danial Frost continued his strong Michelin Le Mans Cup championship campaign this week, securing a fourth-place finish alongside co-driver Enzo Peugeot in the prestigious Road to Le Mans event at Circuit de la Sarthe.
Entering the weekend leading the LMP3 championship standings, Frost and Peugeot showed strong pace throughout Round Three. Qualifying on the front row in second, the duo set themselves up to be in contention from the start of Friday’s race in the #85 R-ace GP Duqueine D09.
Competing at the iconic 13.626-kilometer, 38-turn circuit, Frost and Peugeot remained in the fight at the front of the field throughout the race, navigating traffic and strategy in one of the most competitive events on the Michelin Le Mans Cup calendar. Despite narrowly missing out on a podium result, the pair crossed the finish line in fourth position to score valuable championship points and extend their lead at the top of the standings.
The result marks the duo’s third consecutive top-four finish to open the 2026 campaign and continues a season built on both pace and consistency. With points added to their tally in Le Mans, Frost and Peugeot leave France with momentum as the championship battle heads into the second half of the season.
“Of course, we would have liked to come away with a podium after starting from the second row, but overall it was still a positive weekend,” commented Frost. “Road to Le Mans is always a special event, and the competition was extremely strong. We scored important points, extended our championship lead, and leave Le Mans in a good position heading into the next round.”
The result continues a consistent start to the season for Frost and Peugeot as they remain firmly in championship contention.
Frost, Peugeot, and the R-ace GP team will return to action on August 21-22 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the next round of Michelin Le Mans Cup competition.
