Frost and R-ace GP Head to Silverstone with MLMC Championship Lead
Danial Frost heads to the world-famous Silverstone Circuit for Round Five of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup season, carrying the momentum of a victory at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps just three weeks ago. Frost and co-driver Enzo Peugeot will look to carry that momentum into the penultimate round of the season as they continue their championship campaign with R-ace GP.
With a 30-point advantage heading into Silverstone, Frost and Peugeot have the opportunity to seal the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup championship this weekend. A strong result could put the title mathematically beyond the reach of their rivals, allowing the #85 R-ace GP crew to secure the championship with one round to spare. While the focus remains on executing a clean and consistent weekend, the possibility of leaving Silverstone as champions adds even greater significance to the penultimate round of the season.
Located in Northamptonshire, England, the Silverstone Circuit stretches 5.891 km (3.66 miles) and features 18 turns. The former airfield circuit is one of motorsport’s most iconic venues, renowned for its mix of high-speed corners and challenging changes of direction. Among the circuit’s most famous sequences is Maggots and Becketts, a fast, flowing series of corners that requires commitment and precision from drivers. The challenging complex will be one of several key sections of the circuit as Frost and Peugeot take on the unique demands of the Silverstone layout.
“We are as prepared as possible for the final two rounds,” commented Frost. “We’ve spent a great amount of time at the R-ace GP headquarters in France to work with the team and on the simulator. Silverstone is a technical circuit, but quite the fun one if you get it right. We know how important these final two rounds are, so the goal is to have a clean and consistent weekend, stay out of trouble and put ourselves in the best position possible for the championship.”
Following their Spa-Francorchamps victory, the #85 R-ace GP entry will look to continue its strong form as the season approaches its conclusion.
The weekend in England will kick off on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by Qualifying and the Race on Saturday. All sessions will be available to watch live on FIAWEC+. With just Silverstone and the season finale at Portimão remaining, every lap will carry added importance as Frost and Peugeot fight to secure the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup championship.
