Frost lands his sixth Top5 finish for the season.

After a sticky session in Portland, Danial Frost from Singapore started fourth and held his starting position despite being pressured by Benjamin Pedersen. Devlin DeFrancesco was poised for a promising day after a difficult Q2 and ran a consistent race in his starting position of eighth on a track that is known for difficult passing.

“We started Race 2 fourth and finished fourth. I think the race went pretty good considering everything. I thought that our race pace was really strong compared to the HMD guys. I think we did have the potential for a podium today, but track position is key here. You’ve got to be there at the very start and if you don’t make the moves then, you’ll kind of be sitting there for the rest of the race. Our car balance and setup was really good. As planned, we had the car set with a little more understeer so that I could play with the bars a little and work on the car. Overall, I think the team has done an excellent job to get me a front row car. I think we needed to extract a little more from qualifying to be able to fight for a podium or maybe a win. We’ll look forward to Mid-Ohio. We are very strong there and we’ve had great cars. We also started on pole and had a few podiums as well. We’ll look forward to a good result and I’m confident we will end the year on a strong note.”

Danial Frost, Car #68

Frost’s provisional championship points after 18 of 20 races currently sits at 304 in 5th position overall.

The four-car Andretti Autosport team will return to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the series finale weekend October 1-3.
