FROST SCORES PODIUM IN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA DEBUT

Singapore’s Danial Frost made a strong impression in his GT racing debut this past weekend at Sepang International Circuit, competing in the season opener of the 2025 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS. Partnered with Jiatong Liang in the #77 Craft-Bamboo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, the duo battled through mechanical adversity to earn a third-place finish in race one and a hard-fought fourth-place in race two in the SILVER class.

After qualifying fourth in class, Frost and Liang quickly proved they were podium contenders. In the first wheel-to-wheel racing on the weekend, the team managed the car’s performance expertly despite facing lingering mechanical concerns. Executing a clean and calculated drive, they moved up the order to secure a third-place podium finish, marking an impressive start to Frost’s transition into GT3 competition.

“Getting on the podium in my first GT World Challenge Asia weekend was a fantastic feeling. We had to overcome a few issues with the car, but the team at Craft-Bamboo did an amazing job keeping us in the fight. It was a big learning curve for me, but I’m proud of how we executed.”

Unfortunately, mechanical issues persisted into race two, hampering the duo’s ability to fully capitalize on their speed. Despite the setback, Frost and Liang held steady within the top-five, ultimately crossing the line in the fourth position, just shy of another podium finish.

“The second race was tougher—we were managing some of the same mechanical problems from earlier in the weekend. Even so, we gave it everything we had and came close to another podium. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m looking forward to putting that experience to good use next time out.”

Frost will rejoin Craft-Bamboo Racing for one more appearance this season at Round Two of the GT World Challenge Asia, set to take place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia, from May 9-11.
