DANIAL ENDS 2024 WITH A PODIUM FOR GRAFF IN THE ASIAN LE MANS 2024/25 SERIES
Returning to the Asian endurance championship, Danial scored a podium for GRAFF RACING at Day One of the races in Sepang, Malaysia)
This season of the Asian le Mans Series marks the collaboration between GRAFF, the 2023 LMP3 champions, and the 2023-24 champions James Winslow and Alexander Bukhantsov, accompanied by Danial Frost.
In qualifying, Alexander Bukhantsov managed to qualify in 4th position for both races. The start was decisive in the first race as Alexander Bukhantsov came out on top on the first lap. After two convincing stints, he gave way to James Winslow for an hour of battle on the track. Danial Frost crossed the line in 3rd position, giving the team its first podium of the season in the opening race.
The second race offered a very different scenario for the team as after a good start, Alexander Bukhantsov had to pit for repairs on the No. 7 Ligier JSP320. After a little less than an hour in the pits, the crew was back on track until the race was definitively interrupted due to the daunting weather conditions.
“We experienced everything this weekend: Saturday, the joy of the first podium, and the disappointment on Sunday. The level is still as high as ever in the Asian Le Mans Series and no failure is possible to win. With four more races to go, everything is still possible, our drivers have the speed to win. » Pascal Rauturier, Team Manager
GRAFF is currently 5th in the LMP3 standings in the Asian Le Mans Series. The next race will take place in Dubai on February 8, 2025.
