FROST AND R-ACE GP CHARGE TO PAUL RICARD PODIUM AND RETAIN CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD

Le Castellet proved to be a true challenge for Danial Frost and his R-ace GP co-driver Enzo Peugeot, but the duo once again showed what they are capable of under pressure. In Round Two of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, Frost and Peugeot secured a second-place finish at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France.

The race demanded precision, pace, strategy, and consistency from start to finish, and the No. 85 Duqueine D09 delivered on every front in the LMP3 class.

After a difficult qualifying session left the pair starting tenth on the grid, Frost and Peugeot knew they had work to do. Frost opened the race with a composed and aggressive stint, skillfully avoiding trouble while making decisive moves through the field. His pace and racecraft allowed the No. 85 entry to gain multiple positions before handing the car over to Peugeot.

Following a clean pit stop and driver change, Peugeot emerged in a strong position and continued the charge forward. With both drivers maximizing the pace of the car, the R-ace GP pairing steadily climbed the order. By the checkered flag, Frost and Peugeot had advanced eight positions to finish second, collecting valuable points to maintain their lead in the Michelin Le Mans Cup championship standings.

“I’m really proud of what we achieved this weekend,” said Frost. “Starting tenth, we knew it was going to take a clean race, strong execution, and a lot of commitment from everyone. The team gave us a great car, Enzo did an excellent job in his stint, and to come away with second place while keeping the championship lead is a very strong result.”

Frost and the R-ace GP team now turn their attention to the Road to Le Mans, which takes place during the 24 Hours of Le Mans week. The event will be held on the longest circuit of the season, the 13.626-kilometer Circuit de la Sarthe. The Michelin Le Mans Cup field will have more than a month to prepare before returning to action June 10–12.
