Frost prepares for Michelin Le Mans Cup Season Opener in Barcelona
April 9, 2026 — After two years of partial seasons and one-off races alongside his National Service commitments in Singapore, Danial Frost is set to make his full-time return to racing at Round One of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, taking place April 10–11.
The season opener will be held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where a competitive 24-car LMP3 field will take the green flag. Frost will join the reigning champions, R-ace GP, piloting the #85 Duqueine D09 alongside co-driver Enzo Peugeot. The 4.657-kilometer (2.89-mile), 14-turn circuit will host a packed schedule across two days, preceded by an official series test on April 8.
The event marks a significant step forward for Frost, who has remained active and motivated towards his racing goals despite a limited race calendar. Building on outings with R-ace GP during Rounds Three and Four of the Asian Le Mans Series earlier this year, the Singaporean has spent the offseason fully integrated with the team, contributing to both development work and preseason testing efforts.
“I’m looking forward to getting the season officially underway,” commented Frost. “I’ve been working closely with the R-ace GP team throughout the offseason, both at the factory and in testing, and also had the opportunity to race with them earlier this year in the Asian Le Mans Series. We’ve put in a lot of work to be as prepared as possible for the Le Mans Cup season, and now it’s time to see where we stand.”
With momentum building and a full campaign ahead, Frost enters the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup season ready to fight at the front as he resumes his long-term racing ambitions following two years of National Service.
Track action begins Friday with Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2, followed by qualifying and the race on Saturday. All sessions will be available to stream live on the FIA WEC app and website.
