FROST SECURES PODIUM AT OKAYAMA IN GT WORLD ASIA
Singaporean driver Danial Frost impressed once again on the international stage as he contested the latest round of the GT World Challenge Asia series at Okayama International Circuit with Craft-Bamboo Racing. Partnering with co-driver Alex Jaitang Liang in the #77 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, Frost showcased strong pace and consistency across the weekend, highlighted by a third-place class finish in race two.
The duo opened the weekend with qualifying one, where they secured a fourth-place start in class and ninth overall on the grid. In qualifying two, they repeated the effort with another fourth-place starting position in class, giving them a solid foundation for both races at the challenging 3.7-kilometer Japanese circuit.
Race one saw Frost and Liang put in a determined effort, climbing to fourth place in class after a competitive battle throughout the field. In race two, the pair built on their momentum, executing a near-flawless drive that earned them a third-place class finish and a trip to the podium.
“It was a really solid weekend for us here at Okayama,” explained the DenJet-backed driver Danial Frost. “Alex and I worked well together, and the team gave us a strong car that allowed us to fight at the front of our class. To come away with a podium is a great feeling, and I’m proud of the progress we made as a team. Thank you to Craft-Bamboo Racing and Mercedes-AMG for the opportunity to compete on this stage.”
While Frost’s immediate racing future remains undecided, it has not yet been determined if he will rejoin Craft-Bamboo Racing for the GT World Challenge Asia season finale at the Beijing Street Circuit in October. In the meantime, he will return to his military duties in Singapore before making further announcements about his racing plans.
